MS61

ms61doc.jpgThe MS61 was ordered by RATP in 1963 to be used on what is now the RER A. The first trains were used in 1967 for the Sceaux's line. It was delivered in several subseries which can be recognized by their front :

  • A/B : Windshield in three parts with flat windows, screen above the windshield, wipers attached on the top.
  • C/D : Windshield, wiper attached on the bottom, RATP logo of 1960 (round).
  • E/Ex : Same as C/D but with RATP logo of 1976.

In the 80's the MS61 had a lot malfunctioned so the RATP had to use machines from other lines for the RER A. Then the MS61 were renovated from 1985 to 1987.

A train is composed of three vehicles : MS61_M, MS61_AB, MS61_M.
