y8200

The y8200 is a shunter built from 1977 to 1990. They were first used with V12 Poyaud engines which were very polluting so they were replaced by RVI Euro 2 ans RVI Euro 3 engines. Being re-engined, their livery change from the orange Arzens livery to the green-white Fret livery.

Shunters are often diesel engined, they are used to maneuver wagons in yards, they're also used for internal transports in heavy industries and sometimes to serve secondary lines.
