Talbot cars

OCEM “Talbot” cars are suburban cars formerly used in Paris'suburb in the 20th century.

These cars were designed by OCEM (central office of studies for rail stock) and ordered by State's rail network (government's rail service). 300 cars were built, a half was built by German maker Talbot in Aachen (Western Germany) as compensation for world war 1, hence their name. They used to run in the whole region of Paris. 18 units were lost during world war 2. Last ones were retired in 1984.

Some cars had a driving cab so as to make trains reversible.
